Our Impact

Forty-two Leelanau families were assisted by the Leelanau County Cancer Foundation in 2018, more than double the amount of assistance the LCCF was able to offer in 2016.

That means that 42 families who were faced with the illness of a loved one got help with gas costs, car insurance, car maintenance, snow plowing, utility bills, mortgage or rent payments, grocery purchases and more…

But the need remains great. Between June 2017 and June 2018, 138 Leelanau County residents were diagnosed with cancer at Munson Medical Center. We don’t know how many were diagnosed elsewhere.
